**1. Definition:**
Angle of loll is the angle to which a vessel, that is initially unstable in the upright condition (negative initial metacentric height, GM), will heel to port or starboard to attain a state of stable equilibrium. It is a permanent angle of heel caused by inherent instability, not by external forces like wind or wave action.
