#### **1. Preparation and Safety**
- **Permission and Isolation**: Obtain permission from the Bridge to stop and immobilize the auxiliary engine. Ensure the engine is not on standby.
- **LOTO (Lock-Out, Tag-Out)**: Isolate the engine completely. Shut the fuel oil, lubricating oil, cooling water, and starting air supply valves. Rack out the alternator circuit breaker. Display prominent warning signs.
