#### 1. Principle of Operation
The plate type freshwater generator operates on the principle of vacuum distillation. Seawater is boiled at a low temperature (approximately 40-60°C) by maintaining a high vacuum inside the generator shell. This low-temperature boiling prevents the formation of hard scale that would occur at higher temperatures.
- **Vacuum Creation**: A high vacuum (approx. 92-96% or an absolute pressure of 0.08-0.04 bar) is created and maintained within the generator shell by a seawater-driven air/brine ejector.
