### (a) Contents of the Life-Saving Appliances (LSA) Training Manual
As required by SOLAS Chapter III, Regulation 35, a training manual containing instructions and information on the life-saving appliances provided on the ship must be available in each crew mess room and recreation room or in each crew cabin. The manual must be easily understood and illustrated where possible. Its contents must include, but are not limited to:
* **Operation of LSA:** Detailed instructions on the proper use, operation, and deployment of all survival craft, including lifeboats, liferafts, and rescue boats. This covers launching procedures (davit-launched, free-fall) and recovery systems.
* **Personal LSA:** Instructions on how to don and use personal life-saving appliances such as lifejackets, immersion suits, anti-exposure suits, and thermal protective aids.
