### (a) Essential Electrical Services Under Fire Conditions
Under SOLAS regulations (Chapter II-1, Regulation 42 & 43), the following five essential electrical services, powered from the emergency source of electrical power, must remain operable under fire conditions to ensure the safety of personnel, facilitate firefighting, and manage the vessel's evacuation if necessary:
1. **Emergency Fire Pump:** This is the primary active firefighting system that must be available when the main fire pumps are inoperable, likely due to a fire in the main machinery space. Its operation is critical for supplying water to the fire main to combat the fire.
