#### **Definition**
The Accumulation of Pressure Test is a mandatory statutory test, witnessed by a Classification Society Surveyor, designed to verify the relieving capacity of a boiler's safety valve(s). It is a performance test that confirms the safety valves can discharge steam at a rate equal to or greater than the boiler's maximum steam generating capacity, thereby preventing the boiler pressure from rising to a dangerous level under worst-case operational conditions.
